Sheffield Varsity 2015: Ice Hockey Final Highlights

Biggest Rivalry In Student Sport In Europe?

If you path ever leads you to Sheffield please ask around for the greatest student rivalry in that town. Home of the former Champions cup in football winner is now a home of the biggest match in student sport in Europe. Thousands of people gather to see this ice hockey game and cheer for their collegues. University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University form a biggest rivalry in student sport known to us.
 

Reports are that around twenty thousand spectators come every year to see this wonderful match.

Hosts For 2019 European University Championships Anounced

Which countries will hosts which sports in 2019 are decided at the meeting of EUSA technical commision held in Belgrade, Serbia. Most sports will be held in Poland, in Lodz (Badminton), Bydgocscz (Handball) and Poznan (Basketball).

Twelve countries will host total of 20 different European Universities Championships in 2019. From Sweden to Portugal students will enjoy their summer holidays competing to be best in Europe. Where will your sport be held? Check the full list here.

Pray For Martina Krog

Sad story comes from Zagreb. One of the University of Zagrebs best players at this year EUG in Croatia was diagnosed cancer. Martina Krog, former best player and scorer in Croatia University futsal league will have to make a break to fight this vicious illness.

“This is the most important game of my life. Cancer scored a few goals, but it didnt break me. Now it is the time for me to start scoring and I know I will be successful. I am young, strong, cheerful and full of life and I will make it!” said Martina for her local newspaper.

We hope to see Martina get back to score goals and our hearts are with her. #Martina7

Sport tournaments for student-athletes are organized all over Europe and some of them tend to gather the best student-athletes. One way to mark your intentions is to courageously call tournament BEST. For more than a decade Belgrade sports tournament sets the benchmark higher than before.
